Allen Duckworth, age 77 years, passed away Tuesday evening, March 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1939 in Crawfordville, Arkansas, the son of the late Phil and Geneva (Jackson) Duckworth. Allen retired in 1988 from General Motors – Grey Iron in Saginaw, after 33 ½ years of service. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and spending time outdoors. Allen was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center in Bridgeport.

Surviving family include his children, Kalvin (Patricia) Deaner, Anthony Dungey, Michael Bryant and Tonka Wood; grandchildren, Tiffany (Larry) Jones, Michael Lopez, Kalvin Deaner Jr., Antonio Deaner, Kalina Dungey, Anthony Dungey II, Natalie Dungey, Anthony Dungey III, Michael Bryant Jr., Lashawna Duckworth, Karl Kessel, Otavya Wood, Deanna McLaren and Raelynn Duckworth; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a sister, Lula Currington; sisters-in-law, Glorya (Samuel) Watkins, Olivia Franklin and Dorothy (Larry) Roberts; brother-in-law, Albert Beedles and special friends, Roy Volz, Deborah Brown and Robbin Cubitt. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Helen Duckworth; special son, Robert Garrison; brother, Charlie Duckworth and a sister, Lillie Mae Neal.

Funeral service will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Cornerstone Christian Center, 6674 Junction Rd. in Bridgeport. Pastor Kim J. Frank officiating, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar and at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Family Wishes.
