Ardath Maxine (LaBerge) Timm 92, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2017. Born in East Tawas, Michigan on November 20, 1924, the daughter of the late James and Bess LaBerge. She graduated valedictorian from East Tawas High School in 1942 and Magna Cum Laude from Hillsdale College 1946 where she was affiliated with Kappa Kappa Gamma along with Sigma Alpha Epsilon. She is listed in Who's Who of American Women. On September 14th, 1946 she married Kirk Edward Timm in Christ Episcopal Church in East Tawas, Michigan. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2016. She leaves behind three children, Michael Timm (Charlene) of Plano, Texas, Laura Schneider (Stephen) of Big Sky, Montana and Randall Timm of Elk River, Minnesota. Eight grandchildren, David Timm, Brian Timm (Jennifer), Ardath Ann Davey (Darren), Elise Davis (Michael), Laura Schneider, Kelly Norrington (Marc), Ryan Timm (Tristina) and Steven Timm (Lauren) and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Bay City Garden club for over 50 years, former board member of the Rachel Sovereign Memorial Home, member of the former Bay City Country Club, Saginaw Bay Yacht Club. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bay City. She was a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers and had a wide range of interests including travel, reading, bridge along with with a love of the outdoors.While extremely civic minded having served the community in many capacities on many occasions, her family was her special love. Never to forget a milestone or special occasion, she took great pride in participating in their lives and those of their children. A celebration of her life service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. The Rev. Susan C. Rich will officiate. Private burial will be at Elm Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 608 N. Madison Ave., Bay City. The family will also greet friends immediately following the church service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Trinity Episcopal Church, 815 N.
