Our beloved mother, Blanche Edna Schoof, age 97 years, was called to eternal life on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Bay Medical Care Facility. She was born in Hampton Township on May 24, 1920, to the late Frank and Catherine Eager. Blanche was married to Louis R. Schoof on August 6, 1938, in Bay City. Louis predeceased her on June 13, 1998 just prior to their 60th wedding anniversary. Blanche was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bay City.

Blanche is survived by five children: Joyce (Fred) Brown of Drummond Island, MI; Kathleen (Joseph) Rechsteiner of Bay City; Louis (Annette) Schoof of McMinnville, OR; Robert (Carol) Schoof of Essexville and Linda (Thomas) Mieloch of Bay City; along with 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Robert Rybak, a granddaughter Lisa Rechsteiner, 6 brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel Pankow officiating with burial to follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Blanche will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the Salvation Army.
