Cathernmae M. Waldron, age 94 years, passes away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Bay Medical Care Facility. She was born on April 28, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Chester and Maria (Schmidt) McRorie. Cathernmae retired after many years with the Bay City Public School System where she was a teacher, vice-principal and principal in various schools. She was a dedicated and active member of Essexville Baptist Community Church. She enjoyed painting and was a very skilled quilter and member of the Bay City Quilting Group. On March 11, 1950 she married Virgil Waldron and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2003. She is survived by 4 children: Wayne (Velma) Waldron, Willa (Gerald) Fowler, Lynn (Jeffrey) Horowitz and Brian Waldron, 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a brother, Chester McRorie. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Wiedling, a son-in-law, Fred Wiedling, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Waldron and her sisters: Helen McComb and Nancy Schade. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Essexville Baptist Community Church. The Rev. Mark D. Montei will officiate. Private interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Fisherville. The family will be present to greet visitors at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions can be made to Essexville Baptist Community Church or the Essexville Lions Club.
