Charles M. Naylor of Bay City, Michigan, age 91, passed away on April 26, 2017. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 18, 1926. He attended Cranbrook, Bay City Junior College and was an Army Air Force Veteran tower operator of World War II in New Caldonia.

He retired after a combined 34 years in the insurance business with Michigan Mutual Insurance Co. and Saginaw Bay Underwriters. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bay City, Bay City Lodge No. 88 B.P.O.E. and the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club.

He is survived by his wife, the former Diane Long, whom he married in 1973 as well as 3 children: Charles (Lynn) Naylor, Scott (Stephanie) Naylor and Cynthia Eigner and grandchildren: Brett Naylor, Nicholas Naylor, Sarah Eigner, Megan Eigner, Samantha Gerkin and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis T. Naylor, mother, Edna Beutel and his first wife, Patricia Nichols Naylor.

In accordance with Chuck's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. Private family services will be held with Lou Haveman officiating. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
