Darlene Louise Gower, age 77 years, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. She was born in Bay City on November 17, 1939 to the late John and Ada (Girard) Gower. Dar was an incredibly loving and giving person. She was always trying to do things for other people and loved to tell stories. Dar was employed for many years in the photo department at the Wal Mart in Bay City. She was an accomplished photographer and loved to provide her family with photo albums and family tree information. She is survived by a son, Scott (Christine) Gower and her grandsons: Garrett and Hayden Gower, all of Howell, Michigan, her siblings: Katy McIntosh, John "Butch" (Carole) Gower and Mary (Don) Swinson, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
