Mr. Darwin James Klopf was born on October 1, 1947 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Edward and Erna (Schultz) Klopf. He passed away on March 22, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. His wife Paula L. Klopf preceded his death on August 31, 2012.

Darwin served his country in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. He was retired from Consumers Energy.

He is survived by three sons: Scott (Sarah), Joshua (Wendy) and Wesley Klopf. In addition he is survived by five grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, William, Caitlyn, Lilyann and one great grandson, Carter. He also leaves behind one brother, Edward (Peggy) Klopf and one sister, Melody Price and his sister-in-law, Leslie Bissonette. He was predeceased by his sister, Cheryl Klopf.

Per Darwin's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial dinner will be held on April 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Auburn Baptist Church, 4853 Garfield Road, Auburn, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to wishes of the family.
