David LeRoy Carter was born in Saginaw, MI on January 11, 1948 to Donald and Mary (Smith) Carter. He passed away at the Cartwright Center, Saginaw on September 16, 2017.
Survivors include 7 children: Kevin (Kit) Carter, Jamie(Pat) Curtis, Sharon Carter, Kim (Ken) Wilson, Kelly (Clinton) Hart, Ashley (Gary) Montney and David Carter, 20 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a brother Paul (Tonga) Carter. He was preceded in death by, his wife Karen O. Carter, a granddaughter Amanda Carter, a sister Lois Scott and his parents.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 12 noon at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St., Vassar. Pastor Max McCloud will officiate. Private burial will be at Burns Township Cemetery, Byron, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the wishes of the family. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
