Mrs. Finkbeiner, age 81 years, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region. She was born on January 17, 1932 to the late Floyd and Helen (Ratza) Sproul. Delores was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church. She enjoyed Northern Michigan vacations, family get togethers and baking.
She married Howard A. Finkbeiner on June 16, 1956 and he survives her. She also leaves 2 children: Michael (Robin) Finkbeiner and Melissa (Scott) Geyer, as well as 3 grandchildren: Arin Finkbeiner, Clorisa Finkbeiner and Lauren Geyer and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 1-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St., Vassar, Michigan. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m. She will lie in state at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until service time.
