Donna Lorraine Tereau went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2015, at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was born on September 4, 1925, in Clio, the daughter of Ralph "Archie" and Hazel (Manry) Waggoner. Her family later moved to Vassar, where she lived the rest of her life before moving to Caro recently. Donna was a graduate of Vassar High School in 1945. Over the years she worked at the Vassar State Bank and in a white washing business for many of the farms in a wide range across Michigan.

On June 11, 1960, she married Kenneth Tereau Sr. in Vassar. They were married for 30 years before Kenneth's passing in 1990. Donna was a member of the Vassar United Methodist Church, where she was very active and also a member of T.O.P.S.

Donna is survived by two sons, Kenneth Jr. (Vicky) Tereau of Millington, and Donald (Rachel) Tereau of Vassar; a daughter, Nancy (Kenny) McLaughlin of West Branch; brother, Raymond (Helen) Waggoner of Vassar; sister, Wilma Hool of West Branch; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased in death by her parents, her adoptive parents, Josey and Ceil Whitcomb; step-mother, Leona (Waggoner) Trea; twin brother, Donald and sisters, Elsie Tereau and Marjorie Lawrence.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015, at the Vassar First United Methodist Church, 139 N. Main St. in Vassar. The Rev. Cathy Christman officiating. Private burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Donna will lie instate at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Vassar First United Methodist Church.
