Mrs. Van Hamlin, age 87 years, passed away on November 15, 2016 at her home. She was born in Bay City on May 28, 1929 to the late Anthony and Catherine (Pawlak) Wachowski. She is survived by her children: James Anthony Van Hamlin and Jane (Fred) Tockstein, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Van Hamlin, 2 children: Susan Anne and Renay Antoinette Van Hamlin, as well as 12 siblings. Funeral Liturgy will be on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish-St. John the Evangelist Church. The Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik will preside with Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. with a Vigil for the Deceased at 7 p.m. She will lie in state at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the wishes of the family.
