Edna L. Buzzard passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Bay County Medical Care Facility. The daughter of the late Florence (Ernest) Marquardt and Glenn Middleton was born on June 27, 1939 in Bay City. On October 12, 1957, Edna married the love of her life, Lyle Buzzard and he preceded her in death in 2014, as well as her sister Roberta Decatur.

She was a member of South Baptist Church and very involved as a Deaconess, sang in the choir and taught Awana and many other church activities. She enjoyed reading and cooking and bowling. She was a very giving and loving person and will be missed very much.

Left to cherish her memories are three children: Lori (Mark) Norton, Holli (Craig) Bishop and Todd Buzzard (Aimee Rose); ten grandchildren: Kyle Norton, Matthew Norton, Bethany (Erik) Arvo, Megan Bishop, Jacob (Melissa) Buzzard, Brittany Buzzard, Mason Rose-Buzzard and Noah Rose-Buzzard, Kaitlyn and Brandon Berry. She also had three great grandchildren: Jordan and Asher Buzzard, and Grady Arvo; her brother Louis (Lorraine) Middleton, her sister Mary Wagner and her brother-in-law Dennis Decatur and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral service will take place Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Kirkpatrick. Private burial will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home Sunday, March 5, 2017 to receive family and friends from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to the Alzheimer's Association and South Baptist Church. The family would especially like to thank Bay County Medical Care Facility doctors, nurses and staff who treated Edna Buzzard during her stay there. All of you have a special gift you are extending to the patients under your care and we appreciate you.
