Geraldine (Jerrie) Cecelia Carolan (Styn), an amazing Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away on October 27, 2016 at her home. Geraldine was born on June 24, 1927 to the late Jacob A. Styn and Layol C. (Howey) Styn. She was very proud to be a registered nurse and was excited to plan her nurse's reunions for many years. Jerrie was extremely generous not only to her loving family, but to everyone. She loved playing golf with her dear friends and was a member of the Bay City Country Club and Fiddlesticks Country Club for many years. She was a wonderful woman who touched people's lives for 89 years. She loved taking care of her great-grandchildren (one her namesake, Cecelia) and always put family first. She truly was the heart of the Carolan family. She will be greatly missed by so many but her family is so very grateful to have spent so many years with such an incredible woman. Jerrie was involved in many things throughout her life including Women's golf leagues and Junior Women's Club. You may remember her as the Sunbeam Bread lady! Geraldine was preceded in death by her wonderful husband Keith M. Carolan, 2 brothers, Wallace and Robert Styn, three children, Michael Carolan, Kathleen Jenkins and Kevin Carolan, and 2 grandchildren, Kyle Carolan and Patrick Jenkins. Surviving Jerrie are 4 grateful children for having the best Mom in the world-Dianne Carolan (Steven Clark), Patrick Carolan, Maureen Carolan, Keith Carolan II (Katie Carolan), a daughter-in-law, Maria Carolan, 11 grandchildren-Kellie Staszak (Scott), Cyndi Moore (Rick), Sean Carolan, Lara Tambouridis (Phil), Marisa Halford (Gerald), Cara Loomis (Richard), Kirk Carolan, Casey Carolan, Keith Carolan III, Karen Ostrofsky (Jeff) and Shane Rucker, 12 great-grandchildren-Easton, Scarlett, Cecelia, Aubrey, Vivienne, Jack, Liliana, Christopher, Kylie, Joby, Dakota and Tylla. The heart of our family is gone, Mom was the glue that held us all together. May we find comfort knowing she is watching over us and guiding us from heaven as she did when she was here on Earth. May we honor, love and be forever grateful for such a strong amazing woman…Love you Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Per Jerrie's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Memorial contributions can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or Camp Fish Tales.
