Mr. Clark, age 86 years, passed away on September 20, 2016 at The Mother Theresa House in Lansing. He was born in Bay City on July 3, 1930 to the late Daniel and Rose (Nelson) Clark. He served in the United States Air Force. Herbert was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Essexville and retired from General Motors in Saginaw. He married the former Betty Goss and she preceded him in death on December 4, 2005. He is survived by his children: Michael (Ann) Clark and Toni Clark and her spouse Sheila Beasley, as well as his grandchildren: Joshua and Tiffany Clark. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Pearl Barber, Paul Clark, Gloria MacGregor, Bernice Lapan, Norma Bates and Daniel Clark. Funeral and Committal Services will be on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Essexville. The Rev. Eric A. Stone will officiate. Private burial will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 2-5 & 6-9 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. He will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Mother Theresa House, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Lupus Foundation.
