Janet Jean Faustin, age 71 years, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 05, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region, after a long battle with breast cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. She was born in Bay City on August 11, 1945, the daughter of the late Raymond and Estelle Bates. Janet was an active member of the First Pentecostal Church, where she played the organ, piano and accordion during many church services.

Surviving family include her three children; Janette (Duane) Rossmann, Jerry Ray (Elizabeth) Faustin and Jeanie (Wade) Faustin; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Rachel, Madison, Timothy and Emma; also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Sharon Kay Bates and Sharon Rose Bates; a special friend and caregiver, Nancy Lambert and many nieces, nephews and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Gerald Bates; birth mother Genevieve Bates and the father of her children, Jerome Faustin.

Memorial service will be at 12 noon on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the First Pentecostal Church, 2884 E. North Union in Bay City. The Rev. Michael D. Wood officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the wishes of the family.
