Joan Ruth O'Hara, age 80 years, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center. She was born on August 4, 1936 in Frankenlust Township to the late Paul and Gertrude (Schroeder) Mehnert. She married Lawrence O'Hara and he preceded her in death in 1970. Joan was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Joe) Gulino, her grandchildren: Melissa (Tyler) Culler and Paul "P.O." O'Hara, her beloved great-grandchildren: Emma, Lydia and Joella Culler and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death a son, Paul O'Hara, her brother, Kenneth Mehnert and her sisters: Pauline Fogelsonger and Dolores "Dee" Wright. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel Pankow will officiate. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present to greet visitors at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church or School.
