Mr. Lillo, age 85 years, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center. He was born in Bay City on November 15, 1931 to the late Clarence and Marian (Wanless) Lillo. John served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired in 1987 from Consumers Power Co. He was a member of Wenona Lodge No. 256 F.& A.M. and the Scottish Rite Bodies-Valley of Bay City. He was a member of the BEAM Model Railroad Club and enjoyed basketball in his younger years. On November 1, 1957, he married the former Alice Appold and she survives him. He also leaves his sons: Thomas (Misti) Lillo of Idaho Falls, Idaho & James (Tammy) Lillo and their children, Hayley and Jonathan Lillo of Bay City, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Lillo. On Saturday, December 10, 2016, a Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. Visitation will follow until 3 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Theodore E. Voll will officiate. Private interment will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Wenona Lodge No. 256 F.&A.M. or the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center.
