Julia A. Rhodes, age 81 years, passed away peacefully Friday, June 20, 2014 at her residence. She was born on February 28, 1933 in Fulton, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hoyt and Anna (Sky) Rhodes. Julie enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family.

Surviving family include her children, Richard (Annie) Daubenspeck, Michael Daubenspeck, Shari (Jack) Huyghe, Sam Daubenspeck, Paula Daubenspeck and Brian Daubenspeck; grandchildren, Charlie, Emily, Jordan, Mona (Josh), SammyJo (Chance), Sarah (Gary), Jason (Stephanie), Julie (Adam), David, Christopher, Deirrick, Dylan, Jake and Summer; also surviving are many loving great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wishes of the Family.
