Katherine Mary Borrello was born in Highland Park, MI on October 3, 1942 to the late Edmond H. and Mary Jane (McGowan) Borgioli. She passed away April 9, 2017 at McLaren Bay Special Care. She was a very active member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She graduated from Bay City Central High School, and attended Bay City Junior College, Delta College and Central Michigan University. At Delta College she was the recipient of the Wickes Corp. Recognition Award for the outstanding graduate in retailing. She retired from J.C. Penney Co. where she was a cosmetic buyer and seller. Kathie was an avid doll collector.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Borrello, whom she married April 3, 1963. She also leaves a daughter Monica Borrello, a brother-in-law Silvio (Marian) Borrello, a sister-in-law Antoinette (Johnnie) Johnson, an aunt Evelyn Todtenhagen and 3 cousins: Janet (Kirk) Atton, David (Mary Ann) Borgioli and John (Mickie) Zaratti. Kathie loved her family all of whom were very important to her.
Funeral service will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. The Rev. Susan C. Rich will officiate with private burial at Woodmere Cemetery in Standish. The family will greet friends at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or the Edmond Borgioli Scholarship Fund at the Bay Area Community Foundation.
