Kathryn Joy (Newton Fisher) Lewandowski died Saturday August 24, 2013 at the age of 79. She was loved and will be missed by her husband of 31 years, Richard. Loving mother of Jeff (Amber), Mike (Sarah), Brad (Michele), Tom (Mavis) and Alan and sister of Marilyn Quick. Dear grandmother of eleven. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Kathryn was a former resident of Vassar and Saginaw where she worked with Michigan Bell, most recently residing in Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Verna Newton, son Dan Lewandowski, niece Jeannette Cushman, and brother-in-law Henry Quick. Kathryn's infectious laugher and smile will be missed most of all. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Pastor David Somers officiating, with the burial to follow in Tuscola Township Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
