Lena Jane Windt was born in Roscommon, MI on February 11, 1924 to the late Virgil and Grace Minnie (Myer) Fredenburg. She passed away November 29, 2017 at the Carriage House of Bay City. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) and the League of Catholic Women and Men.
Lena is survived by 2 daughters: Linda Essex and Lee Ann (Randall) Fritz, 2 daughters-in-law: Jacqueline Davies and Michelle Windt and a special niece JoAnn. She was a grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Lena was preceded in death by her loving husband Arthur T. Windt, Sr., 3 sons: Richard Davies, Arthur T. Windt, Jr. and Thomas Windt, a son-in-law Rickey Essex, 2 grandchildren and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The Funeral Liturgy will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), Essexville. The Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik will preside with burial following at St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to St. Jude Hospital or St. Jude Thaddeus Parish. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the Liturgy begins.
