Lois L. Botimer, of Saginaw, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born in Bay City on January 9, 1925 to the late Martin and Frieda (Schulte) Weiland. Lois worked as a secretary at Dow Chemical Company, retiring after many years. She was a member of the wives club of the Bay City Jaycees and a volunteer on the Liturgical Arts Committee at St. Boniface Church for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, needlework, raising her children and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending the theater to watch plays and shows. On February 11, 1950, she married Robert E. Botimer and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2011 after 62 years of marriage. She leaves 7 children: Stephen (Luanne) Botimer, Dean (Judy) Botimer, Mary (Joe) Hausbeck, Lynn Baerwolf, Christopher (Julie) Botimer, Timothy (Dorothea) Botimer and Robert Botimer. She also leaves 12 grandchildren: Dana (Nick), Noah, Christopher (Lisa), Nicholas, Melissa, Sarah, Justin, Heather (Kendell), Joshua, Elizabeth (Travis), Jacob and Hope, as well as her great-grandchildren: Hailey, Morgan, Logan, Madelyn and Trinity. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 1 sister, and a son-in-law, Roger Baerwolf. The Funeral Liturgy will be on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 12 Noon at All Saints Parish-The Church of St. Boniface, 510 N. Lincoln St., Bay City. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Patrick's Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family wishes to thank the staff of Wescourt and the Home Health Care team for their compassionate care and assistance during her time there.
