Maria Fonseca Reynero, age 72 years, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw. She was born on March 6, 1941 in Santa Rosa, Texas, the daughter of the late Timoteo and Maria (Mirelez) Fonseca. Maria was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and a volunteer in the Mission Store. She enjoyed dancing and going shopping.

Surviving family include her six children, Martin (Sylvia) Ruiz, Rojelio Ruiz, Felipe Reynero Jr., Annabelle(Marty) Garcia, Aurora Kern and Leroy Reynero; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Maria is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Elodia F. Laredo, Herminia F. Villarreal, Elida F. Elizondo, Eliza F. Jimenez, Elena F. Olivarez, Raul Fonseca, Martine Fonseca, Eloisa F. Torrez and San Juana F. Flores. She was preceded in death by her parents, Timoteo and Maria Fonseca; her brothers, Ezequiel Fonseca and Ismael Fonseca
and her sister, Elvria F. Cortez.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Sr. Ellen Rinke, IHM officiating, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. Frances Mission Store.
