Marilyn Joyce Greenwood, age 86 years, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 with her children by her side. She was born in Bay City, Michigan on July 14, 1930 to the late Henry and Lorraine (White) Layle. Marilyn very much enjoyed being a great mother to her children and loved to watch sports. On May 28, 1951, she married Gerald G. Greenwood and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2000. She is survived by her children: Charles B. Greenwood, Wendy Greenwood, Leslie (Leif) Peterson and Gregg (Tamra) Greenwood, her grandchildren: Benjamin Greenwood, Leif Eric (Lauren) Peterson II, Arielle (Garrett) Duranczyk, Garner Peterson, Grant Greenwood, Elyse Greenwood and Drew Greenwood, as well as 3 great-grandchildren. Private family services have been held with a private entombment following in Chapel Hill Mausoleum in Freeland.
