Mary Mildred Loree was born in Mt. Forest, Ontario, Canada on January 5, 1922 to the late James Grier and Mary Pearl (Johnson) Harper. She passed away March 21, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and volunteered at Bay Regional Medical Center (McLaren Bay Region) for 20 years. She was avid bridge player and a constant reader of books. She worked for many years at Chicory Corners Gift Shop. She truly enjoyed summers at her cabin in Canada.
She is survived by a son Dale Loree (wife Jami), a daughter Robyn L. Romp (husband William), and 4 grandchildren: Lelah Loree, Adam Loree, Jennifer Jammer (husband Brian) and Curtis Romp, 1 great grandchild Mack Jammer. A special thank you to her dear friend Carole Bedour for all her help in Mary's later years. She was preceded in death by a son Mark Loree and a sister Roberta Kennedy and 2 special companion cats.
Funeral and committal service will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin C. Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Those who so desire may make memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Humane Society of Bay County. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
