Maryeln Verna Streeter, age 76 years, passed away Sunday evening, May 8, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. She was born on January 31, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late Vern and E. Louise (Safford) Stewart. Maryeln was united in marriage to Larry Streeter on August 31, 1958 and after 55 years together he preceded her in death on April 19, 2013. Maryeln was employed at Central Shop Rite for 25 years and also worked for the Vassar Public Schools Food Service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Vassar.

Surviving family include her daughter, Tracey (Alan) Streeter-Jackson; grandson, Caiden Jackson; granddaughter, Daryl-Jo Jackson; brothers, Evart (Cheryl) Stewart, Steve (Pam) Aranyos and Greg (Lisa) Aranyos; sister, Georgene (John) Williams; a special niece, Karen (Ron) Opperman; a special nephew, Paul Williams and many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Vassar, 250 W. Huron Ave. The Rev. Doug Abel officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will visit at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Vassar.
