Matthew Edward Davis, age 27 years, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014, due to injuries from an auto accident. He was born on July 5, 1986 in Saginaw, the son of Edward and Kelly (Deming) Davis. Matt was a lifelong resident of the Vassar area. He was an avid outdoorsman and mechanic. Matt liked to spend time at the mud bog and was always available to lend a hand to a friend. He was employed at Riverview Auto in Caro.

Surviving family include his daughter, Serenity Davis; his parents, Kelly Deming and Edward Davis; grandparents, Fred and Margret Deming; his brothers, Justin (Crystal), Nathan, Jason (Deanna) and Michael (fiancée Lee); a special cousin, Marley and a special friend, Mike Wilson and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patty and William Davis.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Pastor Bill Sanders officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 3:00 p.m. Those desiring can make contributions to the Family of Matthew Davis.
