Navy Emblem

Roger Allen Minkina was born in Grand Rapids, MI on December 23, 1968. He passed away at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI on December 15, 2017.
Roger was a Boilermaker and member of Local 169. He served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bay City.
Survivors include his wife, the former Stephanie E. Grice, whom he married March 22, 1997, 3 children Benjamin, Drew and Ellie Minkina, his parents Donnie and Carol (Engelhardt) Minkina, a sister Vicki (Shawn) Rafferty and his God parents Paul and Evonne Stevens.
A memorial service will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kevin C. Jones will officiate. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School or donor's choice. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home.
