Suzanne Louise Nowaczyk was born in Bay City, MI on November 18, 1939 to the late Edward and Louise (Juengel) Eichinger. She passed away peacefully on November 27, 2017 at Bayfield Assisted Living after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease and Dementia. She married Donald G. Nowaczyk on August 6, 1960 and he preceded her death on October 31, 1992.
Sue was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church and was actively involved with the L.W.M.L., the Altar Guild, Choir, the Parish Service Guild and F.L.A.F.F... She retired from F.P.Horak Company after many years. After retirement she served as treasurer of the Economy Center and was involved in many church activities, traveling and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by 3 children: Jacquie (Chris) Ivan, Michelle (Butch) Steffey and Steven (Christine) Nowaczyk, 7 grandchildren: Kimberly and Joe Ivan, Samantha (Matt) Setula, Angela and Rebecca Steffey, Madeline and Elizabeth Nowaczyk, 2 brothers: Don (Rita) Eichinger and Ken (Nita) Eichinger, a sister-in-law Pat Roby and a brother-in-law Darrell Harrison. She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Eichinger.
Funeral and committal service will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. Matthew Hall will officiate. Private burial will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. She will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10 until service time. Memorial tributes may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
