Tammy Lynn Piazza, age 54 years, passed away Sunday evening, January 15, 2017, at her residence. She was born on April 23, 1962 in Caro, Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Norma (Mellberg) Piazza. Tammy served in the US Army as an MP and was stationed in Germany. She was a lifelong Vassar resident, working for a short time with the Vassar Police Department. Tammy more recently was employed at Mold Masters in Lapeer as a Quality Control Technician. Tammy liked taking Harley rides and trips to the casino, but truly loved her boys and being "Gi-Gi" to her grandchildren.

Surviving family include her husband, Don; sons, William (Andrea) Piazza, Brent (Haley) Piazza-Clark and Bradley Piazza-Clark; grandchildren, Emma, Chase and Harper; mother, Norma Fogle; siblings, Craig (Myra) Piazza, Timmy Piazza and Rhonda (Todd) Hecht; step-brother, Jim Fogle; step-sister, Bambi (Dave) Nachent; uncles, Tino (Connie) Piazza and Joe Piazza; best buddy, Amy Worth and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Richard Piazza; brother, Matthew Piazza and step-sister, Diana Fogle.

FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE AT 2:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY AT THE PENZIEN-STEELE FUNERAL HOME, 149 N. MAIN ST IN VASSAR. Pastor David G. Somers officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to wishes of the family.
