Thomas J. Anthony, age 87 years, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born in Denmark Township on May 21, 1929 to the late Thomas and Myra (Livingston) Anthony. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and worked at Universal Engineering in Frankenmuth. His interests included hunting, collecting antiques and guns, camping and spending time at Higgins Lake. Survivors include 6 children: Debra Anthony, Peggy Anthony, Carol Anthony, Thomas (Cindy) Anthony III, Myra (Craig) Piazza and Alice (Steven) Fisette, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a brother, Francis (Letha) Anthony. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Anthony, as well as his siblings: Miriam Smith, Kathleen Jansen, Kenneth "Richard" Anthony and Alice "Pat" Withers. Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St., Vassar. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
