Woodrow Henry Bond, age 79 years, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his home in Portsmouth Township after a battle with mesothelioma. He was born on September 9, 1938 in Bay City, the son of the late John Woodrow and Albina (Grezeszak) Bond. Woody was employed with Serenus Johnson Construction for many years and was a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America Local 1098. In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and winning Omaha card games weekly at Soaring Eagle with his friends. Surviving family include four daughters, Deborah (James) Keane, Stacey Poole, Jennifer (Kevin) Sanford, and Misty O'Hare; eight grandchildren, Brandi, Desiree, Bradley, Justin, Kyle, Joshua, Kenneth, and Kara; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Sophia; his brother, Ronald Bond and nieces. Woody was preceded in death by a son, Bryon and his wife Arlene (Van Alst) Bond. A chapel service will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017.
